A card grid that fits what it can in HTML & CSS

HTML & CSS interview exercise on Grid, difficulty 1 of 3. Solve it in the editor beside a worked example; the tests run the moment you do.

Lay the six cards out in a grid with 16px gaps where each column is at least 220px wide and the grid fits as many columns as the width allows: four on a wide page, two at 480px, one at 320px. Every column must be the same width, and the grid must never overflow sideways.

Each exercise pairs a worked example with a twin problem to solve in a real editor; the tests run the moment you do. Progress is saved in your browser, and in your account if you sign in.
